Obituary of Albert Mc Arthur Woods
Albert McArthur Woods, affectionately known as Chico, entered this world on August 31, 1944. On June 21, 2024, he departed this earthly realm to be with the Lord.
He was born to the late Mrs. Geraldine Octavia Woods De Hunt and Mr. Albert Winston Frazer, in Honduras, where Albert received his education and attended the local Methodist church.
In 1961, he made his way to the United States, where he met the late Evoney Annette Woodley. Together, they welcomed their son, Ronald Eugene Woodley. In 1981, Albert’s path intersected with that of Maria Del Carmen Giron and settled on Staten Island, New York, where they cherished each other until Maria’s passing on February 4, 2023.
Albert dedicated 19 years of his life as a Security Guard at Wagner College on Staten Island, New York. His unwavering commitment and watchful presence left an indelible mark when he retired in 2017.
Those who knew Albert will remember him for his gentle and unassuming nature. He had a passion for sports, particularly baseball, basketball, and wrestling. He loved playing his numbers, and watching his favorite show, "Swamp People".
Albert’s legacy lives on through those he leaves behind, who shared in his journey:
- Ronald Eugene Woodley, his son
- Ruth Elizabeth Woods and Kirby Barton Hunt, his siblings
- Edgar Williams, Leo Williams, Daisey Williams, Jacqueline Thomas, and Kelvin Williams, his stepchildren, along with their families
- His nieces, cousins, and friends
As we bid farewell to Albert, we celebrate a life well-lived—a quiet strength that touched hearts and left an enduring imprint on our memories. May he rest in eternal peace.
