Ms. Clotilde (Petronella) Suter, born on May 25, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Anthony and Francis, passed away at age 72 on March 29, 2019 in Staten Island, New York. She graduated from Sarah J. Hale Vocational High school. Clo worked as a hairdresser until she became a stay at home mom to her two sons. She was the loving spouse of 39 years to Stephen Kowalski, who was by her side day and night. She is survived by her sons Raymond (wife, Nancy) and Karl (wife, Melissa); brothers, Tony and Richard and sister, Adele. She was very close with her sister's family, Adele's husband Robert, and their children, Jennifer and James. She also leaves behind her 5 grandchildren, who were the lights of her life, Kayla, Luke, Erik, Chase and Tyler. Clo enjoyed cooking Italian food and making sure everyone was always fed, often making eggplant for neighbors and friends. Her hobbies also included making flower arrangements and traveling to Atlantic City. She loved listening to all music, but especially music from the 1970's and was a regular caller to radio stations. Clo also loved telling stories about the family. Those who wish may donate in Clotilde's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Friends and family members may attend the visitation on Tuesday, April 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Scamardella Funeral Home, 332 Broadway, Staten Island, New York, 10310. There will be a funeral Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home with burial at St. Peter's cemetery.
